HOW NOT TO RESTORE ART
When a kindly resident of the town of Borja, Spain, noticed that a 19th century fresco in the local church (painted by Elías García Martínez) was looking a little worse for wear, she decided to take it upon herself to “restore” the painting and bring the image back to life. Unfortunately, the amateur restorer quickly became out of her depth and realised “she had gotten out of hand”, turning herself in to the local authorities. We’re big fans of Jesus’s new fur hood.
